Handcrafted Starter Website Terms

Under the Handcrafted Starter Website service (the “Service”), qualifying customers are eligible to have one (1) simple starter website built for them by DreamHost free of charge, subject to the terms and conditions as set out below.
To participate in this free Service, customers are directed to fill out a form here. By filling out the aforementioned form and requesting this Service, You acknowledge and agree to these terms and conditions.
I. Eligibility
The Service is provided for all DreamHost customers with any active hosting plan (“You”). Only one (1) free website will be built per DreamHost account. Accounts are not required to have any registered domains to qualify for the Service.
II. The Service:
Under the Service, one brand-new website will be built for free per qualifying customer using DreamHost’s own Liftoff Website Builder. The website will be a simple starter WordPress website consisting of up to four (4) basic web pages: a homepage; an about subpage; a contact form subpage; and a services subpage. For customers requesting an eCommerce website, an Ecwid shopping cart subpage will be provided in lieu of the services subpage.
The website will be customized based upon design options chosen by You within the provided form. Content personalization on the created website is based on the information submitted by You.
If You have an existing website and still want to receive the Service, DreamHost will create a back-up of the existing website. No existing content will be migrated onto the brand-new website under the Service.
The estimated delivery time of the free website is approximately anywhere from 24 hours to one week from when the customer fills out the provided form. Specific delivery time is not guaranteed.
Once You receive Your free website under the Service, You may contact DreamHost’s Technical Support team for further assistance regarding Your website. Any requests for advanced customization or additional features beyond what DreamHost considers, in its sole discretion, as minor changes or actual technical support may be referred to our Pro Services team at an additional cost, subject to Your approval. DreamHost reserves the right, based on its sole discretion, to terminate the Service at any time. If You are not satisfied with the free website provided under the Service, You may elect to have the backup of Your previous, original website reinstated within 7 days if applicable.
III. Other Legal Terms:
A. Cancellation Policy: You may cancel the free Service at any time prior to delivery. If applicable, a backup of your previously existing website will be reinstated upon request.
B. Right of Refusal: DreamHost, in its sole discretion, reserves the right to decline to create a website for any, or for no reason, at any point before or during the creation process. In the event that DreamHost declines to build a particular website, the Service will not be considered delivered. If applicable, a backup of your previously existing website will be reinstated upon request.
C. Waiver of refund policy: Receiving the Service and the resulting free website will result in the waiver of a refund from any money-back policy associated with Your hosting plan.
D. Incorporation of other legal terms: By agreeing to receive the Service, You also understand and agree that DreamHost’s General Terms of Service, Privacy Policy, Acceptable Use Policy, AI Tools Terms, any additional terms incorporated thereto, and other applicable terms and conditions are all incorporated by reference here and apply to the Service.
E. Term Updates: These terms may be modified and updated at our discretion.
